Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
This is a very common condition.The symptoms of the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome usually include numbness in the index and middle fingers, during the night, but sometimes when writing or driving. Patients with this condition frequently drop things and have difficulty picking up small objects, such as needles or buttons. conventional method of treatment is by injection of anti-inflammatory drugs and splint immobilization with discontinuation of repetitive movement of the fingers. When conventional method fails, surgical intervention in the division of the carpal ligament is usually successful in symptomatic relief.

Tendonitis of the Wrist
This is inflammation of the wrist frequently seen in people working all day on the word processors. The treatment is usually by injection of anti-inflammatory drugs and splint. Taking appropriate measure of resting the wrist and using wrist rest for the keyboard will alleviate the complaints.

Ganglion Cysts
This is a common complaint which is sometimes associated with a single traumatic event, but usually appears without any known cause. In the case of painful ganglion cysts, cortisone injections are usually effective in relieving the problem, but in recurrent symptomatic ganglion cysts surgical intervention is required.
